Spectrum Yoga offers a dynamic fusion of yogic arts from around the world, bio-mechanically balanced movements and chi flow for flexibility, strength and stress release. As well as providing group classes, we offer in-depth one-on-one yoga therapies.
 

As a beginner to any Spectrum Yoga healing modality, you learn to breathe deeply and connect with the feelings in your body. As you progress and tailor your movements that best work for you, you address physical and emotional issues effectively. While you get in touch with your edge, you develop powerful tools for breakthroughs in your life. Awareness and integrity of energy and movement will support your playful exploration that becomes part of your daily life.

Spectrum Yoga practice does not require physical strength or flexibility. It does require that you come with an open mind and heart. With an authentic willingness to listen, you will discover the many voices of wisdom within your body.

Yoga Therapy
We at Spectrum Yoga take a holistic approach to physical, mental and spiritual well being. Private studio/in-home sessions include therapeutic assisted stretching, injury rehabilitation, yoga inspired personal training and more.

Private Sessions consists of exceptional 60-minute sessions or more, geared entirely on your goals and needs (also referred to as "Personal Training"). They generally consist of either program or a combination of them:

> Thai Massage / Thai Vinyasa
> Reflexology
> Craniosacral Therapy
> Body Mind Fitness Training

Private Sessions are available during times when no group classes are offered and by appointment only. Please call or email Spectrum Yoga to book a session.

Private Sessions are recommended as the ideal preparation for beginners to maximize their group classes and is especially useful for anyone serious about RESULTS!!! With undivided focus on only yourself, the "exercise and lifestyle prescription" will be exactly what you want and need to accomplish your goals.

Yoga Group Classes

Our group classes consist of powerful and fun vinyasa sequencing where you get to “flow” from one posture to the next, linking breath with movement. Learn how to move from your core and enjoy the enlivening experience of energy in motion.

SPECTRUM YOGA I & II

This unique yoga program promotes flexibility, strength and breath. This dynamic series inspires you to connect with your core and move from your core in a flowing, dance-like sequencing. Build internal heat to purify all systems within the body. Come out feeling stronger, healthier and fit! Especially beneficial for stress release, weight loss, back and joint pain. No previous experience is necessary in this individually-based class. For beginners to advanced people. Pregnant women welcome.

CHILDREN YOGA
Fun, Exercise and Focus with this innovative yoga series. Children will discover themselves from inside out with movement and basic anatomy. They will become familiar with playful postures and movements that mimic animals and the elements of nature. This creative program helps young people to develop flexibility, strength and coordination.


YOGACIRCUS CLASSES
YogaCircus is an imaginative, fun-filled experience designed to strengthen self-confidence, trust, balance and teamwork as well as health conscious choices. YogaCircus combines the depth and consciousness of yoga with the communal ceremony of circus. YogaCircus teaches children that with focus, attention and practice they can accomplish anything. This creative program empowers them to take an active role in their own health and well-being. They learn how to develop healthy bounds with each others as well as self expression through movements, music and breath. Children develop new possibilities for play and communication. This series will culminate with an exclusive performance for parents, relatives and friends! Dress comfortably; bring a yoga mat, a hula hoop and a small instrument (from drums to spoons).

  Pregnant women, Read on...

Just the other day my doula said to me, "you look much too comfortable to be due in three weeks". I was sitting on a loveseat in my home with my knees bent up on the chair. Sitting like I normally do. I know that this is due to the flexibility I have gained through regular Spectrum yoga practice.

I had someone recently say to me, "Meredith, how's your back doing?". I replied that it was fine. I have had very little back pain. He replied that it was hurting him to look at me because of my large belly protruding out. It is amazing that as big as I am, the only time my back is sore is when I have had a very long day of getting ready for the baby or have done a lot of walking. And more often than not, it's my feet that are hurting more. The strength that Spectrum yoga has given me in my back has resulted in little to no back pain throughout the pregnancy. I kept going to class up until my 34th week.

The other benefit, although there are many, is that the breathing techniques I learned through Spectrum yoga will definitely help during labor. During my time in class, I learned that in order to push myself a little further in a position, I needed to breathe deeply through the pain. This is the same premise I will use during labor. It just comes naturally now to breathe through a contraction. I can't tell you how much I appreciated your gentle nature and instruction during the classes.

I would absolutely recommend Spectrum Yoga for anyone but especially those who are newly pregnant. The benefits are really worth it!
